Update.

Hey, everyone! I'm not sure how often people check this (if at all), but here's a quick update on what's been going on:

Tie-Dye was pretty great. It was a first for a lot of us, so I'd say we were pretty successful. Zink is fun, so I think we should have picnics there and such some other times.

Knitting at Shades has been great, as usual. Just keep coming and we'll probably try to do some socks or teddy bears. Anything goes.

Next Monday, we'll be meeting at my house to do some cooking and baking. We'll also have materials for making our own knitting needles, if anyone is interested. It's really fun knitting with something you know you did yourself. So, everyone bring a couple of dollars again please, and we'll go grocery shopping and make our dinner.

See you guys soon!

Awesome.

The meeting was great! I'm super excited; you guys are wonderful.

Here's one picture from the meeting, and there should be more to come.

We won't be meeting next week (Labor Day), but the week after that will be another Shades day on Monday. Have a great holiday!

First knitting meeting!

Okay, our first meeting of the year is going to be a great, old-fashioned knitting meeting at Shades of Brown coffee house. We'll be meeting there around 3:00 (just after school) on Monday, August 25, and staying until around 5:00 or 6:00. You're all welcome to leave whenever you need to, though. It'll be great.

We'll have yarn and needles for learning, so don't worry about any of that stuff. And, if anyone needs rides, please let Andy or me know, and we'll try to help out. I think we have about 8 seats between the two of us. Or something.

So, Shades is at about 33rd and Peoria on the west side of the street. See everyone there!

A new year, a new name.

Hope everybody's ready and excited for a new year of the "Old Women's Club"!

This year should include loads of great things, and any ideas you guys have can add to our list of things to do.

Here's a picture from last year (thanks to Brit Bear):
